Meet NC CASC/BIA Pathways Program Intern, Jordan Matula

Jordan Matula has joined the NC CASC team as a BIA Pathways Program intern. Jordan is a junior at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), where she is combining her passions by majoring in biology and minoring in Native American studies. Jordan is a citizen of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, and serves as an officer for UNO’s Inter-Tribal Student Council. Throughout her internship, Jordan will be assisting CASC Tribal Resilience liaisons with on-going research projects, such as creating educational literature tools addressing species vulnerability to climate change, that will be used by tribal nations to perform vulnerability assessments and implement appropriate adaptation strategies.
