The NC CASC was represented at the 2023 American Geophysical Union fall meeting by Aparna Bamzai-Dodson (USGS Assistant Regional Administrator) and Meagan Oldfather (USGS Climate Adaptation Specialist). 

Aparna Bamzai-Dodson presented Evaluating Science for Society: Lessons from the Climate Adaptation Science Centers in the Science Policy session and co-convened a session on Social and Behavioral Sciences. Meagan Oldfather presented Synthesis of Emerging Trends and Knowledge Gaps to inform Climate Adaptation in the Rocky Mountain Alpine, summarizing work from the 2023 Rapid Climate Assessment Program (RCAP) Alpine Synthesis Project, and co-convened a session on Mountains in the Earth System. In addition, Aparna and Stefan Tangen (USGS Research Coordinator) were co-authors on the poster presentation of Chapter 25 (Northern Great Plains) of the Fifth National Climate Assessment.
