Western Water Assessment Wildfire Lecture: April 2, 2026

The Western Water Assessment invites researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students with interests in wildfire to attend an upcoming invited research talk by Matthew Hamilton, Associate Professor at the University of Wyoming, on April 2. Dr. Hamilton, an interdisciplinary social scientist specializing in risk, hazards, and wildfire, will present “Adaptation to wildfire risk in coupled human-natural systems,” offering an overview of his research. He is also interested in connecting with University of Colorado researchers to explore opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration on wildfire and hazard-related work across the region. The talk will be held at 10 AM in the CIRES Fellows Room on the CU Boulder main campus and will be available in person only.
