RAD Webinar Series

RAD Webinar Series

Date

The USGS National Climate Adaptation Science Center is pleased to announce a quarterly webinar series on the RAD (Resist-Accept-Direct) framework in collaboration with the National Conservation Training Center. This series focuses on examples of RAD implementation and reflects on practical applications of RAD concepts.

The January webinar, held Thursday, January 22 at 1 PM MST, is titled “Social Science Perspectives on RAD” and will feature Wylie Carr (National Park Service), Amanda Cravens (USGS), and Jaclyn Rushing (U.S. Forest Service).

The RAD (Resist-Accept-Direct) framework helps managers navigate transforming ecosystems by defining a broad decision space that includes not only resisting ecological trajectories, but also consciously accepting such change and/or directing trajectories towards preferred new conditions.
