Funding Opportunity: Applications Open to Host the Southwest and North Central Climate Adaptation Science Centers

Funding Opportunity: Applications Open to Host the Southwest and North Central Climate Adaptation Science Centers

Date

Qualified organizations are invited to apply to host and, as applicable, serve as consortium partners for the North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center (NC CASC) and Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (SW CASC).

Background:

USGS established a network of geographically dispersed Regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs). The USGS, through the National CASC, manages these regional CASCs, which are based at organizations (or host institutions) that provide suitable facilities, partnerships, science, capacity building, communications, and programmatic capabilities, either alone or in combination with consortium partners. Regional CASC host institutions are selected through an open, competitive process and re-competed approximately every five years.

Application Process:

Applications are now being accepted to host the North Central and Southwest regional CASCs. Applications must be submitted by 4pm ET on February 1, 2024. For more information, see the USGS website
