Climate Data 101 in Python Workshop
Are you a resource manager or researcher interested in learning how to work with climate data in Python? If so, the North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center invites you to a Climate Data 101 in Python Workshop.
When: Friday, October 30, 2020 from 9am-2pm MT
Who: We welcome federal and state agency employees, university researchers, graduate students, and others who use climate data to understand global environmental change in their work. No prior programming experience is required to participate, though some prior background would be advantageous.
Where: Fully remote
What: In this free virtual workshop, you will learn how to use:
Climate model data (MACAv2) downloaded from the Climate Futures Toolbox
Python to work with netCDF, csv, and geotiff file formats
How: All work will be completed using Jupyter Notebooks, so no computer setup is required. The final lessons will be published on the https://www.earthdatascience.org open learning portal for use for self paced learning.
