James Rattling Leaf, Sr. contributes to new Dept. of Interior handbook on Indigenous Knowledge

James Rattling Leaf, Sr., NC CASC Tribal Engagement Specialist and CIRES Tribal Advisor, contributed to a Department of the Interior handbook on Indigenous Knowledge that was published last week. The handbook, titled “Procedures for the Inclusion and Application of Indigenous Knowledge in the Actions of the Department,” describes “practices and guidance” for the Department to elevate and amplify Indigenous Knowledge in their research, policy development, and decision making. Access the handbook here!
