New Actionable Science Toolkit

New Actionable Science Toolkit

Date

A new toolkit, created by Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Geological Survey (USGS), US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service, and NC CASC was published earlier this year. The toolkit aims to assist federal resource managers in co-producing actionable science to support public land management, which supports knowledge and tools that are accessible, convenient, and relevant to agency work. This resource is broken down into five separate tools:

Tool 1: Coproduction in the Public Lands Context;

Tool 2: What Level of Coproduction Makes Sense for My Project?;

Tool 3: Suggested Coproduction Steps and Practices;

Tool 4: Suggested Communication Deliverables for Coproduced Projects; and

Tool 5: A Problem-Solving Checklist for Coproduction.

Aparna Bamzai-Dodson, NC CASC Assistant Regional Administrator, contributed to this work.
