Several NC CASC scientists are authors on a new paper about drought: “Drought as an emergent driver of ecological transformation in the twenty-first century.” In this paper, authors “clarify how drought can lead to transformation across a wide variety of ecosystems… [specifically] how climate change alters drought regimes” and how this may lead to ecosystem transformation.
