Next Steps in Incorporating Climate Adaptation into SWAPs

This will be an internal, CASC conversation about how the NC CASC can more effectively engage with and support state fish and wildlife agencies, to be held during our April CSSP call (Thursday, April 28, 2022). State agencies are in the process of updating their State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs), which could provide a good opportunity for the NC CASC to provide science support. There will be short presentations on ongoing work by the USGS team on known information needs for the state agencies, and approaches that other CASCs are taking to support states in their regions. The bulk of the meeting  will be for discussion and brainstorming of how we might meet known information needs and how we might be able to leverage the SWAP (or other planning processes) to engage more closely with the states in our region.
