A new publication is now out on Ecosphere, an ESA open access journal, with co-authors Shelley Crausbay of the US Forest Service; Molly Cross of the US Geological Survey; and Imtiaz Rangwala, lead climate scientist at NC CASC.
Proactive drought adaptation measures are acutely needed, but without a better understanding of drought vulnerability at the appropriate scale and geography, such measures may not be effective, or even anticipated as potential options.
